Free Hindi Font Download From Google Fonts
The safest place for a free Hindi font download is Google Fonts. Set the language filter to Hindi, and you see only fonts that support Devanagari. Every one is open-source and free, even for commercial use. If you want to download Hindi font files in one go, this is the best start.

Unicode Hindi Fonts vs Kruti Dev and DevLys
There are two kinds of Hindi fonts. Unicode Hindi fonts (Mangal, Nirmala UI, Noto Sans Devanagari and every Google Font above) store real Hindi letters, so the text works on phones, WhatsApp, websites and Google search.
Legacy fonts like Kruti Dev and DevLys store Hindi as English codes. Without the font, เคญเคพเคฐเคค shows as Hkkjr. Some offices and typing exams still ask for them, which is why people search for a Kruti Dev Hindi font download. These fonts have unclear licences, so get the file from your institute or office, not from random sites. To change old Kruti Dev text into Unicode, use the converter on our Kruti Dev font page. How to Install a Hindi Font and Use It in Word, Canva and Photoshop
- Windows: unzip the download, right-click the .ttf file and choose Install. Restart MS Word, and the font shows in the list.
- Mac: double-click the file and click Install Font in Font Book.
- Android: most phones do not allow a new system font. Import the .ttf inside a design or video app that supports custom fonts.
To type Hindi in Word, add Hindi as a keyboard language in Windows Settings, then pick your font. Canva already includes many Hindi-ready Google Fonts, so search the font name first.
